The Domain is situated at the foot of the Chapel of the old village of Le Beausset (383 m), a cirque facing south-west, overlooking the sea and the appellation Bandol, magnified in the setting sun. Around the Domaine is situated the archetype of the terroirs of great red wines of Bandol. The sub-soil was turned 35 Mo years ago (synclinal of Le Beausset): the Trias (-250/-200 Mo) is today above the Cretaceous (-145/-65 Mo). This soil consists of marl gypseous, allowing the roots of the wine to grow deep to reach moisture, limiting the effects of drought. Poor, this soil makes the plant suffer to develop its rich aromas.
